Recently, Max and Jolynn have
entered into an agreement with Bovano of Cheshire. For over 50 years, Bovano has
developed a reputation for quality workmanship and unique hand made sculpture
with vitreous glass enamels. Together, Max and Bovano form a team to continue
the excellence of both organizations. Maintaining there unique styles, while
also developing new designs that will excite galleries and collectors from
around the world.
MAX HOWARD's creative career began in 1968, while employed by a steel construction firm. With his knowledge of metals and welding, he began creating lovely accessories for his home in his spare time. His wife, Jolynn, recognized his artistic talent, and encouraged him to enter some of his work in a local art show. After his work was accepted into the show and viewed by the public, he began receiving invitations to other art shows. As the demand for his art spread, Max was faced with the decision as to whether he should continue his work with the steel firm or seek a career in the art world.
Now, MAX HOWARD SCULPTURES can be found in homes, shops, galleries and museums throughout the world. The ability to capture the delicacy of nature, so realistically, from a hard piece of flat metal continues to intrigue his admirers. Unique design and quality workmanship is apparent in each individually made sculpture. For over thirty years, Max has been rewarded by the happiness shown in the faces of those who view his sculptures and by many proud owners.
Max and Jolynn live in a lovely rural setting in Huntersville, North Carolina. Max continues to design and create beautiful sculptures and they both enjoy visits from their children and six grandchildren, Lillian, Charlotte, Rose, Henry, Max, and the newest addition, Richard.
